Martin A. Hegley , Partner
Martin has worked in Legal Costs since 1987, having initially worked for the one of the UK’s leading firms of Law Cost Consultants. He was head-hunted in 1990 and joined Imperial Costing. He has been involved in the development of the firm since then including marketing and training. Martin has considerable experience in the preparation of substantial and complex bills and the detailed assessment of costs. He now predominantly deals with personal injury litigation including on behalf of one of the Country’s leading firms in this area. He is also involved in multi-party class actions. Martin is married and the father of four children. He is a keen football supporter and enjoys following his team whenever he can find the time.
Grant Hegley F.A.L.C.D , Partner
Grant has been involved in the costing business for nearly 20 years having started at a niche practice where he worked predominantly 'in-house'. Having joined Imperial as a Partner in 1991, he specialises in the costing of substantial Civil Litigation cases and high value Family Law matters. He has handled a number of high profile cases for leading firms. Over the last 5 years he has developed the IT side of Imperial. He is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen. In his spare time Grant is a Father of 2 children and a Football Referee officiating in the last 13 years at the highest level in the country, The Premiership.
Nigel Quin F.A.L.C.D, Associate
Nigel is a highly experienced Draftsman having started at a leading firm of Costs Consultants almost 20 years ago. In that time he has prepared Bills in almost every area of Law, including undertaking Court of Appeal and House of Lords work. He has considerable expertise in Family Law matters.
Stuart Atkinson F.A.L.C.D, Associate
Stuart has worked in Solicitors cost departments and for cost consultants and has considerable experience in the detailed assessment and negotiation of costs. Over the last few years he has prepared a number of substantial bills in high profile generic child abuse cases. He has also represented one of the largest Trade Unions.
Sandie Brockwell, Associate
Sandie has been involved in costs for over 10 years and has skills in the area of Public Funding costs including, Family Law. She has considerable experience in Matrimonial and Court of Protection work. With her considerable IT skills she is adept at handling all manner of Claims for costs ‘online’.
Support Personnel
Our Drafting Team have the full support and assistance of administration staff dealing with the preparation of draft Bills and supporting documentation. The support also ensure the smooth operation of the Company’s accounts, sales and marketing.
